Google Keyboard suggesting profanity with update Posted: 03 Jun 2016 10:01 AM PDT I use Google Keyboard in Spanish and never had a problem with it suggesting "profanity" (I don't know how it is in english) until the most recent update. I have always had "block profanity suggestions" turned on so when I use swipe it doesn't suggest any kind of bad word. But since the update I'm seriously worried since I use swipe a lot and the amount of times bad words are suggested (and the degree of the words) is too much. And those are words I never use, so the keyboard didn't learn them. I just uninstalled it and installed the beta version for android N and it doesn't have that problem. Has anybody encountered this issue? I only use the keyboard in Spanish so I'm not sure if it happens in other languages. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2016 10:54 AM PDT There were a lot of articles saying that seamless updates won't be coming over to Nexus 5X/6P for Android N, but does that mean it won't be updated to Android N at all? [link] [comments] |
Is it bad for battery to give it a little boost? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 10:40 AM PDT This always happens to me : go through all day normally, I don't really use my smartphone that much during the day, and in evenings I'm always left with 35/40% of battery life. Is it bad that I charge it until it's like, 70/80% use it a lot before I go to bed, and then charge it again during the night? Edit: using a nexus 5x [link] [comments] |
Nova or Google Now Launcher for Galaxy Tab S2 Posted: 03 Jun 2016 01:09 PM PDT Bought a new tablet but not a fan of Samsung's bloatware What do you guys prefer, paying for a launcher isn't an issue [link] [comments] |
Android OS is taking up a LOT of battery Posted: 03 Jun 2016 11:45 AM PDT I have a rooted Nexus 6P with Xposed and ElementalX kernel. Android OS in the battery viewer is taking up most of the battery right behind the screen. It's on top of all the apps in GSAM Battery Monitor (which now crashes everytime I open it and reinstalling does not help). Under Better Battery Stats "Process" netd is at the top and and under "Network" a service literally called "0" is at the top. It seems Android OS is taking up a lot of network data for some reason. Phone heated up approximately 125 degrees farenheit Posted: 03 Jun 2016 10:39 AM PDT http://imgur.com/66pklAV http://imgur.com/nPuPRYB I'll assume this is a rogue app, but is there any reason the phone didn't recognize that it was overheating? I mean 125 degrees is pretty significant. Any other guesses as to how this happened? I did look and GSM Battery app isn't reporting any rogue apps causing it and my phone says the battery loss was caused by standby. What do you guys think? Any other information you need? Edit: this is a galaxy s6 and was on a normal charger, not the fast charger [link] [comments] |
Think I've got some sort of virus or malware. Posted: 03 Jun 2016 10:10 AM PDT My phone has been running increasingly slower over the past few weeks, I have tried to do a factory reset but it fails every time I do it, phone just shuts down and does nothing afterwards. Today, I found out I only have 1mb of space left, but the only apps I have installed are google maps and chrome, and neither of the use more than a combined 150mb. I obviously can't download a malware scanner, having no space, is there anything I can do to get my phone back? [link] [comments] |
How do i save a song from my google play account onto my phone so I can use it in my video editor? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 01:11 PM PDT I can't figure it out. Is it not possible? I'm using a Note5 [link] [comments] |

Help with removing a google account from galaxy s4 Posted: 03 Jun 2016 08:40 AM PDT OverviewI have had a second Google account that I used for games and stuff to avoid polluting my main email but recently decided to remove it because it was annoying to check both and I could block spam pretty easily. So I deleted this Second google account completely, not the main one that my phone was registered with. Now I have a persistent "Account Action Required" notification. When I go to accounts in settings and tap the google accounts icon I get a message "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped." Please help Device Info

Is it possible to recover lost data on Samsung s6 edge? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 01:30 PM PDT I restored my phone to factory settings after backing up everything but when I tried to restore the data it only saved a few contacts. Is there anyway to recover the rest? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2016 01:26 PM PDT Hey there, I've got a problem with my phone, I installed a custom recovery environment. The problem is the custom recovery is faulty, and the phone boots straight to recovery mode. I only know how to bring up download mode, but it's useless without recovery. [link] [comments] |
Has anyone had any luck removing the Cloudsota trojan from a tablet? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 07:24 AM PDT My sister bought a cheap tablet that came preinstalled with the Cloudsota malware, and the regular removal instructions don't work. This particular tablet is a Rockchip/Gadnic TAB00031, and it came rooted by default. I can remove CloudsService.apk from /system/app and checkota.sh from /system/bin, but that's as far as the normal removal instructions work. The copies of the files that are supposed to be in /system/etc aren't there, but I did find extra copies /cloudsota that I removed (after remounting / as read-write). Even removing those files doesn't help: after a restart, they are all back in place. Placing dummy files with chmod 0444 to prevent them from being overwritten doesn't work; adding another dummy APK with the same application name to try to prevent the malware from installing doesn't work either. It's either in a place of the filesystem that I haven't looked in, or in the bootloader, but I can't find anything online that will work in this particular tablet. I've tried to find a clean ROM to install on it, but no luck so far. If it were my own tablet I would have already thrown it in the trash, but my sister would likely just buy another cheap tablet with the same problem because "it works", I "just need to get rid of the ads that keep popping up". Do not disturb mode doesn't serve its purpose. Posted: 03 Jun 2016 08:19 AM PDT When I sleep, I throw on DND and have NO exceptions turned on. But it still rings when I get texts and wakes me up. What the hell?? Galaxy S6 [link] [comments] |
how do i make chorme tabs show up as tasks on multitask button? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 04:20 AM PDT chrome updates, and i can't find a way to revert back to where apps are shown as different tasks on the multi task button, tried online, but there is not "merge tabs" option on settings, there's nothing about tabs on the android chrome settings..... how do i turn back? I'm used to it, and it's easier to navigate like that using android 6.0, and chrome has just updated today [link] [comments] |
How blurry will a Live case be? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 07:04 AM PDT I'm using a picture of the Uncharted PS4, with Nathan Drake front and centre. I had to zoom in all the way to get him in focus, and I got that "The printed photo might look blurry," as well as "Zooming may make your image blurry." Has anyone ordered a Live case that had those warnings, and if so, how blurry was the image? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2016 12:36 PM PDT Help would be very much appreciated, although I'm not sure anything can be done. It's a long story how I got in this situation, but I'm stuck in fastboot menu. My phone doesn't have a ROM anymore it would seem as it will only boot into fastboot menu. My bootloader is locked, I can't unlock it and I don't have any recovery mode not even stock recovery. I have no idea what to do, any help would be very much appreciated. My phone is the HTC 10. [link] [comments] |
Which ROM Is The Fastest/Has The Lowest Workload (Is That The Right Word?) Posted: 03 Jun 2016 02:40 PM PDT S3 user here, I don't care about getting a new device as my S3 is still fine hardware wise. However, it has come to the point that it's so slow, it takes 10 seconds to start the camera, 5 to start whatsapp etc. Pretty annoying. It's still running the same stock android as when I bought it. Transferring files from PC to Shield Posted: 03 Jun 2016 02:38 PM PDT I have some wallpaper pictures saved on my PC I would like to transfer to my Nvidia Shield. I've looked into it and it seems es file explorer or a USB cable are the two best options. I could use advice on the best way to go about this and would appreciate step by step instructions and or a helpful link. Thanks, I'm close just can't quite figure it out! [link] [comments] |
Can't unlock my phone with Google Account (Two Months of Reddit Gold for Solution) Posted: 03 Jun 2016 10:48 AM PDT I incorrectly entered my PIN too many times and now the Google Unlock screen is showing up. I'm SURE I'm entering my correct email/password, but it keeps telling me it's invalid. Is there any way to get in or at least back up my stuff? I didn't enable USB debugging so ADB is not an option. I'm wracking my head around this. If someone can point me to a non factory reset solution I can give them up to 2 months of Gold. Rather pay some money than lose important data. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2016 10:48 AM PDT Good morning, So, yesterday my phone notified me of a software update, so I figured why not. Updated and everything seemed to be going fine. Today however, in the hour I've been at work now, Reddit is Fun and DT Ignite have failed/crashed at least 4 times. Any idea what is causing this? I sort of know what DT Ignite is (something to do with bloatware so your provider can install without your permission?) I just forced stopped and disabled that so hopefully that helps there. But the reddit issue is something I'm concerned about. Hell, it's Friday and I've already done all my real work for the day more or less. Please help me fix this and stay entertained on this boring day. [link] [comments] |
