How to Update Google Nexus 5X With Official CM13 Nightly Android 6.0 Marshmallow:




CM 13 Nightlies Android 6.0 Marshmallow are live for all the Google Nexus 5X smartphones .

Follow our guide below to download CM13 ROM and install it yourself.


Since we’re still in the early days of CM 13 Android 6.0 releases you should expect to find some bugs while testing it on your phone. Note that the CyangoenMod will continue releasing Nightly CM 13 builds for Nexus 5X on a daily basis, and when these builds are getting better we should see the first stable CM 13 Snapshot build.

 ÷ Prerequisites:

This official CM 13 Android 6.0 Marshmallow is only  for Google Nexus 5X  don't try it on other  phones.

• You Phone should be Rooted & have The latest version of a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP) installed on your phone.

•Make sure there is at least 80% battery left on your smartphone before begin this process.

÷ How to Update Google Nexus 5X With Official CM13 Nightly Android 6.0 Marshmallow:

1- Download the CM 13 Nightly Android 6.0 Marshmallow zip & Google Gapps for Android 6.0 ROMs .

2- Move both zip files on to your phone’s internal storage.
– after the files are copied you can disconnect the phone from computer.
– do not extract the archived contents.Switch off your device.

3- Next, boot it in Custom Recovery Mode.
– that’s a guide for the original Nexus 5 model, but it should work for Nexus 5X models, too.
– the CWM-based and TWRP Recoveries are supported by this tutorial

4- .First thing that you need to do using the Recovery Mode is to create a NANDROID Backup for the installed ROM:
– CWM: select ‘backup and restore’.
– TWRP: select ‘backup’ option.
– set an easy to remember name for the file and confirm process.

5- Now you can factory reset your device:
– CWM: select ‘wipe data/ factory reset’ option, while for TWRP you should select the ‘Wipe’ options.
– confirm process.Start the CM 13 Android 6.0 Nightly ROM installation:
– CWM: select ‘install zip from sdcard’, then ‘choose zip from sdcard’.
– TWRP: select ‘install’ option.

6- Find the CM 13 Nightly zip and confirm the flashing process.
– don’t press any buttons until all the new firmware files are done installing.

7- When the ROM is done installing you can flash the Gapps zip, too.
– use the same actions as in step 8 to find the Gapps file.



8- Reboot your phone in normal mode after all the files are done installing.

Note that the first boot process of this new custom ROM will take a while before it loads all the new files.

Use your default Google account info in order to regain control over your device once again.

If the installation fails, then you can choose to repeat the whole guide more than once. Make sure that in case you repeat the tutorial, then you won’t be skipping any steps and that your device meets all requirements listed above the guide.
